Fortunus recalled to Dallas, DeVergilio up from Idaho

Texas had a few moves for tonight's game. Maxime Fortunus will join the NHL club in St Louis as the Stars visit the Blues. Max has seen four callups to Dallas this year, including his NHL debut in November. Texas also announced that they have called up Kevin DeVergilio from Idaho. DeVergilio started the year in Texas but was sent down in November and gained a brief callup in January when he played in one game but did not record any statistics. Here is the release on Fortunus.
The Stars also announced today that the club has recalled defenseman Maxime Fortunus from the Texas Stars, Dallas’ primary development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).

Fortunus, 26, has appeared in eight games with Dallas this season, going scoreless. He made his NHL debut on Dec. 19th against the Detroit Red Wings. The La Prairie, Quebec native has collected 11 goals and 12 assists for 23 points with a +6 rating in 69 games for the Texas Stars in 2009-10. Fortunus has played in 329 career AHL games, posting 26 goals and 60 assists in seven AHL seasons. The 6-1, 198-pound defenseman was signed as a free agent by Dallas on July 3, 2008.

Fortunus will join the Stars in St. Louis today, where the Blues will host Dallas at 7:00 pm this evening (My27, SportsRadio 1310 The Ticket).
The Stars opponents tonight, the Aeros, saw their goaltender Wade Dubielewicz called up to Minnesota today as well. Anton Khudobin is now back in Texas though. Philip Larsen, a highly touted player out of the Swedish Elite League, has also been called up to Dallas now that his season is over in Europe.
