Stars Clear Day roster set

The Stars Clear Day roster was announced today along with the other 28 teams in the AHL. Here is the AHL's decription of what the Clear Day roster means:
Each Clear Day roster consists of a maximum of 22 players. According to AHL by-laws, only those players listed on a team’s Clear Day roster are eligible to compete in the remainder of the 2009-10 AHL regular season and in the 2010 Calder Cup Playoffs, unless emergency conditions arise as a result of recall, injury or suspension.

Teams may also add signed junior players or players on amateur tryout contracts, only after their respective junior or college seasons are complete.
Without further delay, here is the list:
Goalies (2):

Matt Climie (G)
Brent Krahn (G)

Forwards (13):

Mathieu Beaudoin
Jamie Benn
Aaron Gagnon
Sergei Korostin
Perttu Lindgren
Scott McCulloch
Travis Morin
Warren Peters
Greg Rallo
Raymond Sawada
Colton Sceviour
Francis Wathier
Landon Wilson

Defensemen (7):

Maxime Fortunus
Ethan Graham
Andrew Hutchinson
Dan Jancevski
Trevor Ludwig
Garrett Stafford
Matt Stephenson
Any surprises here? Well, first of all, let's talk about the non-surprises. Our two goaltenders and seven defensemen remain the same as we expected. Luke Gazdic and Mathieu Tousignant are not listed on the clear day list. I think we all sort of expected these things.

Now for the big surprise. The listing of Jamie Benn on the clear day roster, despite never having played a game with the Texas Stars is an interesting turn. Benn was assigned to the Texas Stars and immediately recalled last week. He will obviously play in Dallas for the rest of the season and count as a "call-up", so Texas may replace him with another player not on the Clear Day list. Benn will likely be assigned when the Stars season is over and play out the rest of the season with Texas for more experience. I wonder if he would play center here or move back to wing. Also, Ondrej Roman may see some playing time with Benn still in Dallas. He was in the press box last night.
